Knife Skills & Baking Basics (Soup, Salad & Savoury Muffin)

Learn how to chop, slice and dice a selection of vegetables as you prepare a tasty seasonal soup and salad. Baking basics will be covered too as we make savoury muffins. Perfect for alternative recipes for packed lunches, whether it’s a day walking or preparing your lunch to take to work.
Why not make a day of it and head to Cod Beck reservoir, Osmotherley and enjoy a stargazing experience with Rewilding Adventure and enjoy your soup under our dark skies (to be booked separately).

Call My Bluff Wine Evening with Yorkshire Vintners7:00pm Start Whether you’re a Wine Buff or not, enjoy this fun evening with Wine Experts, Yorkshire Vintners as you try a selection of interesting wines and decide which wine description is true or false! Local Food Heroes – Shepherd’s Purse Cheesemakers7:00pm We are excited to welcome Caroline Bell, Director of local cheese maker, Shepherd’s Purse to talk about the family business and its history. There will be plenty of cheese to try as Caroline talks about the incredible growth of the business and what makes their award winning cheeses so special. The booking includes a glass of fizz on arrival, a selection of seasonal canapés and nibbles and a goody bag to take away. Yorkshire Afternoon Tea Experience

Make your own traditional English scone as Amy shares her secrets for success and the story behind the famous English Afternoon Tea. Amy will also demonstrate how to make and assemble a traditional Yorkshire themed Afternoon Tea for you to enjoy with your scones fresh out of the oven. Afterwards sit and relax as we serve the Afternoon Tea with a selection of teas, coffee and soft drinks. There will be plenty of your freshly baked scones to take home and share with family and friends too.

Autumn Half Term – Parent & Child Halloween Afternoon Tea Experience

Creative Christmas Canapés Demonstration
6pm-8.30pm
£35 per person
Get organised for the party season as Amy shows you how to make effortless and festive Christmas Canapés to entertain your family/guests at Christmas including mini Yorkshire puddings! You will learn tips on preparing in advance, different flavour combinations and styles of presentation. A final demonstration will show the finishing touches needed to wow your friends and family when entertaining during the festive season. The ticket price includes a copy of the recipes, a complimentary glass of English Nyetimber and tastings of the Canapés presented. Maximum of 6 guests per session.

Christmas Afternoon Tea Experience

Get into the festive spirit and learn how to make sweet pastry, the technique for rolling out and cutting pastry successfully and making mince pies with a selection of toppings to impress your family and friends this Christmas. At the end of the session Guests can relax and enjoy a mince pie or two as we serve a Christmas themed Yorkshire Afternoon Tea with sandwiches and a selection of teas, coffee and soft drinks. You will leave with plenty of Mince Pies to take home.
