Terms & Conditions

In order to provide clarity and prevent any misunderstandings at the time of booking we operate under the following terms and conditions. These are applicable to all cookery experiences and events held at ‘My Kitchen’ / Woodlands Farm.

Booking

Bookings for all residential cookery experiences must be made direct either over the telephone or via email. The deposit fee or payment in full must be paid at the time of booking via payment card (or bank transfer if agreed).

Age Restrictions

All experiences / events with the exception of child and family experiences / events have a general age restriction of 18 due to the nature of the equipment used and alcohol being used and / or served.

Please note that suitable ID may be required to be produced upon arrival – if you have any queries, about age restrictions on any experience or event, please contact us by email info@woodlandsfarmthimbleby.com or telephone (01609 883524).

Dietary Requirements and Allergies

We will require full details of any special dietary requirements or allergies of all Guests and attendees of cookery experiences, events, etc. – this must be provided at the time of booking. In addition to this, we will need to know whether you (or those attending) would like to prepare and cook the dishes as scheduled.

Whilst we always endeavor to be as open and inclusive as possible, unfortunately, some experiences and events may not be suitable for all dietary requirements and those with allergies.

Please note that we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment at ‘My Kitchen’ / Woodlands Farm as we run a variety of experiences and events, plus we are also a working kitchen.

Experiences & Events

The Owners of ‘My Kitchen’ / Woodlands Farm reserve the right to alter the timing and content for any cookery experience held both on and off the premises. We will always try to avoid doing this and minimize any repetition or exclusions within the experience / event content, however this cannot always be guaranteed.

In circumstances where we have to cancel an experience or event we will return to you all monies paid for the experience (accommodation costs will still be payable on residential experiences) or where we deem appropriate (i.e. at our discretion) offer an alternative date / experience or event.

All experience / event fees and dates are correctly quoted in all marketing literature and online and you will be notified immediately of any changes which impact or affect your booking.

Hygiene / Health & Safety

We request in the interests of health and safety that you wear appropriate clothing during our experiences / events – such as low heeled closed toe shoes (sandals are not acceptable).

The Health & Safety of all Guests and Experience / Event Attendees is very important to us and so we reserve the right to refuse access to ‘My Kitchen’ / Woodlands Farm to any person suffering with symptoms of an illness that could affect the health of other Guests, Attendees and Staff (this includes sickness, diahorrea and other highly contagious illnesses).

Payment

Payment for the contractual amount at the time of booking can be made by:

  • Contacting us on 01609 883524 and providing the details of a valid debit / credit card (payment by bank transfer may be permitted upon request).
    *Please note that all Residential Cookery Experiences must be booked in this way
  • Selecting an Experience / Event on our website and providing valid debit / credit card details for payment through our online payment gateway.

Cancellation / Termination Policy

In the unfortunate event of you having to cancel or change the date of any booking we will require at least 6 weeks notice prior to arrival, in writing. The Deposit paid remains non-refundable, however in exceptional circumstances we may agree to a course / event transfer.

We reserve the right to re-sell the accommodation and / or the cookery experience or event ‘space’. However, if adequate notice is not provided then you will be charged the full contractual amount that was agreed at the time of booking.

Travel Insurance

We would strongly recommend that you discuss travel insurance with a suitably qualified professional to ensure that you have the appropriate cover in place to cover you not attending a residential courAse or event due to illness, an accident or travel issues.

If you already have travel insurance in place, we would recommend that you check your policy to ensure that it covers you for cancellation of your booking.
